Italia Space Venture
The Fund supports the growth of innovative companies operating within the Space Economy, contributing to the development of strategic technologies and the strengthening of the national industrial value chain.
The Fund targets businesses characterised by a strong technological and innovative profile, with the ambition to become international market leaders at the early-stage and growth-stage phases.
The Fund makes direct investments in companies that have achieved an appropriate level of technological maturity and demonstrate significant growth potential.

The Fund makes investments in Series A-B Rounds with target funding of between €2 million and €20 million, and with a minimum Fund commitment of €1 million per transaction. The Fund makes direct investments in companies that validated their business model on the market or that are at an advanced technology development stage. It is a generalist fund but with a special focus on DeepTech such as AI, Cyber Security, Biotech, MedTech, New Materials or Quantum Computing.
The Fund is supported by public funding provided through the “Satellite Technologies and Space Economy” programme of the Italian Complementary Fund, established under D.L. No. 59 of 6 May 2021 and implemented by Prime Ministerial Decree No. 9/2022-PNC, with the aim of strengthening and accelerating the development of Italy’s Space Economy ecosystem.

The Fund invests in leading companies within the Space Economy, targeting start-ups with disruptive technologies, proven technological maturity and the potential for exponential growth during the early-stage and growth-stage phases.
What is the Fund’s investment approach?
The Fund makes direct investments primarily in companies at the early-stage and growth-stage phases, with the ability to participate in subsequent follow-on investment rounds. Investments are made through equity and quasi-equity instruments.
What are the eligibility criteria for the Fund?
The Fund invests across the space and aerospace value chain (upstream and downstream), as well as in enabling technologies, including data and software solutions, Earth Observation, communications, navigation and Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT), Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, sensing technologies, components and application-based services.
