ISAAC announces the closing of a €14 million investment round, marking a strategic milestone in the company’s industrial and international growth trajectory.
The transaction confirms the strength of ISAAC’s business model, the maturity of the technology developed, and the company’s long-term vision for the protection and enhancement of the built environment, both public and private.
The investment round includes participation from CDP Venture Capital, 360 Capital Partners, Axon Partners Group, Azimut, Ring Capital and NovaCapital, bringing the total capital raised to date to €21.7 million.
Italy is among the European countries with the highest seismic activity: in 2025 alone, more than 15,000 earthquakes were recorded, many of low to medium intensity but potentially critical for a fragile and largely outdated building stock. This is compounded by complex phenomena such as the bradyseism in the Campi Flegrei area, where repeated earthquakes (up to magnitude 4.6) and ground deformation are generating continuous stress on buildings and infrastructure, deeply affecting communities’ perception of safety. These events—along with the recent Cyclone Harry—confirm a systemic fragility of the Italian territory, calling for a structural approach to prevention and protection of the built environment.
In this context, ISAAC stands out as an Italian deep tech company born from a research project at Politecnico di Milano, developing proprietary seismic protection solutions based on smart, non-invasive Active Mass Damper systems, designed to protect existing buildings without altering their structure or interrupting their functionality.
In 2025, the company closed the year with revenues of approximately €9 million. Today, ISAAC’s technology is installed in numerous strategic buildings across Italy, with hundreds of machines currently active, including the Policlinico San Martino Hospital in Genoa, one of Italy’s largest hospital complexes with daily occupancy fluctuating above 9,000 people, and the Pilot Tower of the Port of Genoa, designed by the Renzo Piano Building Workshop, a symbol of safety and modern urban infrastructure.
“In a country like Italy, with its widespread territorial challenges, organizations such as ISAAC are essential for protecting our heritage, improving the present and building the future of people. This investment helps to strengthen the resilience of the national infrastructure and promote technologies capable of delivering a tangible impact on community safety. At CDP Venture Capital, we are proud to support this team, a virtuous example of how technological innovation can translate into applicable, scalable solutions of strategic relevance for the national system,” underlines Alessandro Scortecci, Direct Investments Director of CDP Venture Capital.
Over recent years, ISAAC has consolidated its technological development path, establishing itself as one of the most promising Italian players in smart structural engineering. Thanks to solutions already validated on strategic infrastructure and ready for broader scale growth, the company is now able to manage the entire system lifecycle—from design to installation and continuous monitoring—through standardized and replicable processes.
This work has led to the recent upgrade of the Electro-Pro 45x system, with improvements in performance, operational reliability, and integration with existing infrastructure, further strengthening the industrial scalability of the solution.
The new round will now enable ISAAC to reinforce three key strategic pillars: technology, people and market, with a particular focus on international expansion.
“Having followed ISAAC from its earliest days in the lab to its current success, we are thrilled to renew our support in this Series B round. ISAAC has successfully bridged the gap between academic brilliance and industrial scale. Their technology is no longer just a vision; it is a proven solution safeguarding strategic infrastructure and ready to take on international markets,” explains Alessandro Zaccaria, Partner of 360 Capital.
“This round represents both recognition of the work done so far and a responsibility toward the future, giving us the momentum to grow even faster in Italy and abroad, continue improving our products, and expand the team with new talent,” comments Alberto Bussini, CEO and founder of ISAAC. “Our goal is to make seismic safety an ordinary and continuous component of a building’s life - without compromising its function and the value it preserves.”
“ISAAC combines deep scientific excellence with a clear path to industrial scalability and international market adoption. Seismic safety is a global challenge, and ISAAC’s technology has the potential to become a reference solution well beyond Italy. We are excited to support the team in accelerating its international expansion and scaling an infrastructure-grade technology with real, measurable impact,” comments Francesco Terraneo, Senior Manager Investment at Axon.
“ISAAC represents a long-term value investment, thanks to its strategic positioning in a key sector and a technology capable of addressing a global structural need,” states Guido Bocchio, Head of Venture Capital at Azimut Libera Impresa SGR.
"Ensuring the seismic safety of existing buildings without interrupting their activity is a vital challenge that ISAAC’s systems address with unprecedented technical efficiency. Their patented, non-invasive technology provides a concrete solution to the structural fragility of increasingly dense territories. This first investment in Italy confirms our commitment to growing our presence in this market, one year after opening our Milan office," declares Charlotte Lafont, Partner at Ring Capital.
