Magic Spectrum, the acceleration program launched by Digital Magics in the fields of 5G and Internet of Things, joins the CDP National Accelerator Network.

Startups can submit their application to join the program through the website https://magicspectrum.digitalmagics.com/ until March 1, 2022.

Milan, 11 February 2022 – Magic Spectrum, the acceleration programme launched by Digital Magics at the end of 2021 and dedicated to start-ups that develop products or services for the 5G and Internet of Things market, joins the CDP National Accelerators Network, the network of physical hubs in the area, focused on the markets with the highest potential that CDP Venture Capital is setting up in order to guide new innovation talents along their growth process.

With the entry of CDP Venture Capital, through its Accelerators Fund, the acceleration programme, which involves leading corporate partners such as Cisco, Compagnia di San Paolo, Inwit, Irideos, Melita and Unipol Tech, increases its share by over 3 million euro, to reach total assets under management of 4.55 million euro. The entry of Magic Spectrum into the CDP National Accelerators Network further strengthens the programme’s objective, both in financial and territorial terms. The acceleration activities include an operational office based both in Milan, the headquarters of Digital Magics, and in Turin, the headquarters of I3P, the Politecnico di Torino Incubator, a local partner of reference and centre of excellence for the technological vertical sectors identified by Magic Spectrum. Further contributions in terms of business and territorial competence are also made by major technical partners such as Cluster Smart Communities, IREN and Solve.it.

The 8 start-ups that will be selected each year, over the 3-year time horizon of the programme, will be able to access investments of up to 325,000 euro, between initial investment and follow-on, in line with European acceleration best practices.

Magic Spectrum is aimed at start-ups operating in the key 5G and Internet of Things segments, such as smart home & building, smart mobility, smart factory, retail and logistics, agrifood, health & wellness.

The acceleration programme will consist of two phases: “Discovery” and “Validation” lasting around two months each. At the end of the first phase, the 8 start-ups will be selected and will enter the final phase of the programme, in which the project will be tested to then access Investor Day: a meeting with investors, mentors and companies.

Interested start-ups will be able to submit their applications through the call website until 1 March 2022, to take part in the first acceleration batch starting in April.
