As a minority shareholder, we invest in all business’s life cycles, from seed to growth and expansion, preferably in co-investment with independent private parties. We may invest either directly or indirectly through third party funds (OICR), provided they follow the same investment policy as our fund. The fund’s investment strategy favors investments in series A, B and C rounds.
The Fund invests in all sectors and businesses, with a marked interest in innovative ones, including Agritech, Biotech, Healthcare, Digital, IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Mechatronics.

Senior PartnerWith over 20 years’ experience in private equity and venture capital at IMI Fondi Chiusi SGR (Intesa Sanpaolo Group), prior to her appointment as Senior Partner at Italy Venture II Fund, Francesca served, at first, as Managing Director of the Fondo Mezzogiorno (with an endowment of €100 million) focused on investments in SMEs in Southern Italy. In 2010, she joined the Fondo Atlante Private Equity (€150 million in capital) targeting Italian SMEs with high growth prospects. From 1993 to 2001 she worked at Istituto Mobiliare Italiano, carrying out M&A and Merchant Banking activities. She has served as a board member of several investee companies operating in the healthcare, hydraulics, facility management and logistics sectors. Degree in Economics and Commerce from La Sapienza University of Rome.
PartnerFederico is a chartered accountant and auditor. Prior to joining CDP Venture Capital Sgr, he worked for over 10 years at KPMG Deal Advisory where, as Senior Manager, he gained significant experience in M&A transactions, supporting leading Private Equity funds and multinational companies in the financial Due Diligence phase. For Italy Venture II Fund he is particularly involved in the following sectors: e-commerce, additive manufacturing, medtech, internet & ICT, logistics, mechatronics, clean energy & green tech. Degree in Economics and Business from the University La Sapienza of Rome, and a PhD in Economics and Management of Companies and Health Services from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan.
Ersilia has more than 18 years’ experience in the Finance and M&A, having been worked with two important Multinational Consultancy Company (PWC and EY) during her career prior to her appointment as Partner at Italy Venture II Fund within CDP Venture Capital Sgr.
She started her professional career in 2004 in PWC, from 2011 to 2015 she worked at PosteItaliane SpA as project manager reporting to the Head of the M&A for the Group’s M&A activities. Then in 2015 she joined to the EY Strategy and Transaction department as Director also responsible for the Technical Department.
During her professional career with PWC and EY, she worked on a wide range of transactions in both domestic and cross-border deals, including pre-acquisition, sell-side, refinancing and restructuring transaction for Italian and Multinational companies in various sectors (in particular Infrastructure, Educational and Gaming), assisting as well important international PE in their investment/divestment activities.
Ersilia graduated with a Bachelors degree in Economic from the University of Napoli “Federico II” including 9 months spent in Sweden as part of an academic exchange program. She is a “Dottore Commercialista” (Qualified Accountant) and a “Revisore Contabile” (Registered Auditor) since 2009.
Investment ManagerAlessandro has 10 years of experience in Venture Capital. Prior to joining CDP Venture Capital, he worked on the launch of the LuissEnlabs accelerator and the listing of LVenture Group, a Venture Capital fund where he served as Investment Manager. He worked for a period with a Venture Capital fund in Tel Aviv and supported startups in acceleration programs in Silicon Valley. Subsequently, he served as CFO of a digital company operating in the international trade sector. He has worked with several universities on venture investing issues. He is a chartered accountant and holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from Luiss University.
Investment ManagerInvestment Manager for over one year at Italy Venture II Fund. Previously he worked at EY Transaction Advisory Service in Corporate Finance gaining several years of experience. Davide has worked on numerous Due Diligence operations (Buy-side and Vendor side), Vendor Assistance activities within both domestic and cross-border M&A transactions in the Energy/Oil&Gas, Food&Beverage and Diversified Industrial Products sectors. During his experience in EY Advisory he carried out a secondment in Germany at the Munich office. For the Italy Venture II Fund he deals primarily with the following sectors: e-commerce, food & beverage, medtech, manufacturing and healthcare. Master of Science in Banking and Finance at the University of Lugano, Switzerland.
10 years of experience in incubators, accelerators, company builders (H-Farm, Nana Bianca, ASAP ITALIA) and Venture Capital funds. At Italy Venture I Fund and Italy Venture II he is mainly involved in early stage, ICT, and Digital investments. Doard member in 4 startups.

AnalystBefore joining Fondo Italia Venture II she worked in EY Spa as an audit assistant. She has a degree in Business Administration and Management from the Commercial University Luigi Bocconi and a master in Business Management from LUISS Guido Carli with whom she collaborates for the Chair of Financial Analysis.
Before joining Italia Venture II, he had previous experience at Banca Intesa Sanpaolo in the Risk Management department, at Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena in the ALM desk and at Ventive as an Investment Analyst. He has been involved in the Venture Capital industry for about three years. At Ventive he has mainly dealt with startups in the Pre-seed and Seed stages, working as an advisor in fundraising activities, as a Mentor for Ventive's proprietary incubator and SpringHub (an incubator in Perugia specialized in deeptech) and as an Analyst for direct and indirect investments.
Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Management from Università degli Studi Roma Tre and Master's degree in Economics and Finance from Luiss Guido Carli.
