RoboIT is the National Technology Transfer Hub set up in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Technology in Genoa and involves the University of Naples Federico II, the University of Verona and the Scuola Superiore di Sant'Anna in Pisa, which are among the leading research centres in Italy specialising in the robotics sector.

The Hub is supported by Pariter Partners which, in addition to co-investing in the project, provides entrepreneurial acceleration support to researchers, working alongside them in the prototype development phases and during the incorporation of the companies, in order to guide them along their entrepreneurial journey.

An important contribution in terms of technological and market know-how comes from Leonardo.

CDP Venture Capital Sgr's Technology Transfer Fund also invested in the Eureka! funds. Fund I – Technology Transfer, Eureka!'s VC fund Venture Sgr and Cysero EuVECA, a fund owned by AVM Gestioni SGR Spa, both specialised in investments related to robotics, will ensure the sustainability and growth of the start-ups conceived in the research laboratories.

Backed by investments totalling 40 million euros from CDP Venture Capital SGR, the RoboIT Hub will be based on a Hub & Spoke model, providing researchers with financial resources and specialist skills to carry out an initial technical and business feasibility study within the participating University Centres (Spoke) followed by entrepreneurial acceleration services to support the creation of new businesses at the Italian Institute of Technology in Genoa (the Hub).

The Hub is located in the Valpolcevera area, a few metres from the new "Genova, San Giorgio" Bridge, where Europe's first Robot Valley is being created.
